After breakfast tour briefing, full day to explore the city's major tourist attractions in Old & New Delhi. Visits include the Gandhi Mausoleum where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, Qutub Minar, India Gate, Humayun Tomb, Red Fort that took 10 years to build and dates back to the very peak of Mughal power in the 17th century and the Jama Masjid that was the final extravagance of Shah Jahan.

Delhi - Mandawa (B)
After breakfast drive to Mandawa, located in the heart of the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan and is known for its frescos and paintings. The initial part of the drive is through typical Indian villages. On arrival check into hotel. Afternoon walk around the colorful Nawalgarh village dotted with its colorful shops selling a wide variety of goods.

Mandawa - Khimsar (B)
After breakfast drive to Khimsar from Mandawa. The village of Khimsar provides an excellent starting point to explore the district of Nagaur. On arrival check into hotel. Rest of the day to explore the lovely small village.

Khimsar - Jodhpur - Luni (B)
After breakfast drive to Jodhpur, once the capital of the state of Marwar, for a half-day city tour. Jodhpur is built tumbling down a low sandstone hill, right on the edge of the Great Thar Desert. At the summit of this hill stands the Meherangarh Fort built in 1459. The fort looks impregnable - an imposing landmark, especially at night, when it is bathed in yellow light. Continue to drive outside the city to a place called Luni, on arrival check into the magnificent Fort Chanwa, a perfect example of the past carried into the present. This fort is well over 100yrs old. Evening walk around the village to glimpse the rural life in Rajasthan.

Luni - Jaipur (B)
After breakfast drive to Jaipur. Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and is known as the "pink city" due to its exquisite buildings of rose-colored terracotta. With pink and orange the dominant colors, the effect is magical at dusk.

Jaipur (B)
Morning excursion to the Amber Fort. Amber Fort is now a deserted palace, surrounded by majestic ramparts. Spend the afternoon exploring the many treasures of Jaipur. Places to visit are the City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hava Mahal.

Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (B)
After breakfast commence drive to Agra. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri, "the ghost city" which was built along a rocky ridge. From here continue the drive to Agra and check into hotel.

Agra - Rishikesh (B)
Early morning visit to the Taj Mahal - the monument of love. This huge mass of white marble resting on red sandstone is a jewel, fashioned over 17 years. Seen from the enormous main gateway, inscribed with verses of the Koran, (the entire Koran is said to be reproduced on its walls), the Taj Mahal resembles a jewel box opening before your eyes. After visit drive to Rishikesh. On arrival check into hotel. Rest of the day is free.
